Vacation Destinations

Jacob and I love to travel. Check out where we've been right here. At the beginning of each year, we talk about when we can squeeze a vacation into our busy schedule. We've been able to get away for a long weekend every year since Nolan was born, but because we're saving up for Disneyland and New Orleans in 2016, we decided not to go anywhere big this year. We aren't even going to leave the state. We're dropping the kids off with my parents and driving along the Columbia River early this summer, which is something I've never done. Instead of putting our heads together and coming up with any sort of itinerary, we've just been fantasizing about all the places in the world we'd like to go. These are completely out of the question for a few years because we don't feel right leaving the kids behind for more than four days at this stage in life, but a girl can dream, right? Here are the top five locations on our bucket list.

South Africa

New England
(Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont)

Eastern Europe
(Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Slovakia)

(Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland)

We also constantly think about where we want to take the kids when they're older.
These are the top five family vacations on our bucket list.

Disney World

Washington DC

New York City

Grand Canyon

Jacob and I have been to NYC, DC, and DW, but can't wait to show the kids!
Where do you dream about going?

I haven't traveled much. My list is long!

I want to visit the west coast and east coast, especially California and New York. I want to visit Africa, Egypt, all of Europe, and Abu Dhabi. Oh, can't forget Australia!

I may jot this down for a future blog post idea. Wonder how long it'll take me to get to it...

Travel is one of our main goals in life and we're finally at a point where we're really consistently hitting our desired destinations every year.

This year we do Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, Grand Tetons, Badlands. I've wanted to see them forever.

Next year we'll hit South Africa (on MFD's dream list forever) and Paris (my dream list) along with London (we'll be there might as well).

Neither of us have been to the Grand Canyon so we're trying to make that happen too, I think it's a possibility for 2017!

I've had a total case of wanderlust lately- it's been too long! We are trying to sate it with a trip to Branson or Chicago or Nashville, but I desperately want to go somewhere NEW! This post made it worse. :)

I would love to go to South Africa and my friends say Iceland is spectacular. I can't wait to take Nick and Lucy all over the world.

I pretty much want to go everywhere.

I love that you guys actual go and see things and try new places. It's really awesome. So many people ever just talk about it and never actually do it.

So awesome that you get to travel. So important. I'm finally going to get to do some this year. I'm trying to get my friends on board to go to NOLA for my 30th birthday in August. It's a slow progress LOL it is one of my bucket list US cities.

Hope you get to come back to NYC soon :)
