The End Of Summer

Life has been busy! We're definitely still trying to find a routine now that the boys have been in school a few weeks. Nolan is having a blast, especially during PE, recess, and riding the bus. What a boy. On top of all-day Kindergarten, he has soccer practice twice a week and a game every Saturday. My little six year old is exhausted!

Milo likes school too, but only goes two and a half hours, three days a week, so he still gets to spend a lot of time with me. We've been running errands, going out to lunch, and doing projects around the house together.

As a family, we tried to soak up the last few weeks of summer at the lake, pool, and parks. I've also been squeezing in some adult fun! Last weekend, Jacob and I saw A Chorus Line at the 5th Avenue theater. I loved the movie as a kid and have been wanting to see the musical for years and years. It's very old school Broadway with classic songs and dance routines. The set is minimal so the talent can shine. I was completely engrossed from beginning to end and absolutely loved it. Based on the plot, Jacob was reluctant to see it, but took one for the team. He ended up really liking it too!

Yesterday, my sister and I went to the Seahawks vs. Denver game. When I got the tickets, I imagined bundling up for some cool fall football, but it was actually the hottest home game on record! Luckily our seats were in the shade the entire time. It was a stressful game, but the Seahawks pulled out a 26-20 win in OT. Since I just had trachea surgery and was starting to get a cold, it probably wasn't best to contribute to that 12th Man noise, but I did anyway and it was awesome. Go Hawks!

This summer has been a good one. Seattle broke a bunch of sunny day and heat records, which was nice, but I'm more than ready for some cool, rainy, fall days.

I'm linking up with Leeann and Kimberlee!

Wow Jacob and Nolan look like twins, especially in the similar plaid!

And I think you're good luck for football games being exciting. What's with you and OT? I think you need to come to NOLA with me in November to ensure a Saints win lol.

Thanks for linking up :)
