Oddball Festival

The Oddball Comedy Festival made it's way through Washington on Friday. I originally had tickets to see Chris Hardwick at a comedy club that night, but when he joined this tour he cancelled his club appearance, so my friend and I grabbed tickets to this instead. Not too shabby. The lineup changes by location, but I think we lucked out. I had already seen Chris Hardwick, Aziz Ansari and Demetri Martin live, but was stoked to see them again and they were awesome. I had always wanted to see Whitney Cummings and Sarah Silverman. Whitney was alright and Sarah seemed off her game. I love her so much and appreciate her lackadaisical approach to comedy, but she kept flipping through her notebook for material, which made her seem unprepared. I was most excited to see Louis CK. I binge-watched Louie over the summer and just love him so, so much. He was awesome, as expected, but my favorite comedian of the night was probably Hannibal Buress. I laughed all night long, but he was the only one to make tears stream down my face. He was absolutely hilarious and I'd see him again in a second. Cameras and phones weren't allowed, but I managed to sneak one picture of each comedian, so none of them are very good.

There are still a few dates left in California and Texas.
I highly suggest it if you are a fan of laughing!

I'm linking up with Leeann and Kimberlee!

Chris Hardwick... SWOON. I've been obsessed with him for a long time. I always thought he was adorable on Singled Out - slightly remember him from House of 1000 Corpses and then he hit huge with Nerdist, and on G4 (I miss G4 SO much).

THis looks like SUCH a fun night. I'm glad Louis did well and sorry to hear that Sarah was off her game. But definitely a fun night.

I saw where Chris posted he was performing in this show at Red Rocks... ugh that would have been awesome! Imagine the laughter bouncing off those natural stone walls :)

I'm annoyed from afar at Sarah for the notebook flipping. No.

That sounds like so much fun!

I love Dmitri Martin. He's hilarious. Actually, pretty much all of them are. What a great night!

I've never seen Louis, but I've heard a lot of his stand-up on satellite radio. I think he's hilarious. I'm not a big fan of Sarah Silverman. The notebook thing would have completely turned me off. It seems surprising of her though. She's quite the veteran now.

Chris Hardwick is such a lovable dork. I hope to see D'Elia, Gaffigan and Tosh one day. Terri and I may try to see D'Elia in Nashville. We have just had so many expenses come up we weren't expecting. Like Tony's car engine... UGH!

I also really wish more comedians would come to Memphis!
