OMFG! What a show!! I can't get over how amazing it was. I also think it was the loudest concert I've ever been to, and that includes Taylor Swift and a ton of boy bands. The audience was SO INTO IT and watching them rap every single Jay Z rhyme and scream Beyoncé lyrics with such emotion was so much fun! I've always been a big Jay Z fan and liked Beyoncé just fine, but this show made me looove her. She gives it 150%. I was a little annoyed that some of her songs were so remixed that you couldn't sing along, and they both cut a lot of songs very short, sometimes only using them as an intro or interlude, but they performed 45 songs total, so that was bound to happen. Beyoncé and Jay took turns singing their individual hits and then shared the stage for about ten songs. Beyoncé changed her costume every single time she came out! Insane. The highlights for me were Crazy In Love, Tom Ford, Big Pimpin', No Church in the Wild, Drunk In Love, Holy Grail, 99 Problems, and Love on Top. It was an amazing two and a half hour dance party with 40,000 friends at Safeco Field (where the Mariners play) and I loved every minute of it!
There are two dates in Los Angeles and two dates in San Francisco, then they have a five week break before two dates in Paris, which will be filmed for an HBO concert special. I can't wait to watch that and relive it! And afterwards...divorce? I'm really sad to hear the rumors about their split. Sources say it's not a matter of if, but when. Are they consciously uncoupling? (Gag, I hate that stupid new term). Some say Beyoncé has been house hunting in NYC and LA and that their divorce will be quiet, clean and quick, à la TomKat. They are apparently touring with marriage counselors, but not spending any time together, except for on stage, and even then they don't really interact. That's kind of true, but they've always performed that way. He raps and she sexily slinks around him. On Wednesday night, Jay hugged Bey at the end of a song and they held hands at the end of another, but I've seen that same scene in photos and videos from all the concerts on this tour. It's all part of the performance. People are also noticing they aren't wearing wedding rings. But, do they ever? Do any other artists when they're on stage? I won't judge them there because I hardly ever wear mine and I'm happily married. I've seen Beyoncé's Instagram pics lately and they are hanging out, whether it's staged or not is the question. Some speculate that it's all an act, just a way to stay in the news and promote their tour. Who knows what's true. I just know I had a blast and I'll be a fan of each of them forever.
