How To Survive A Cold

I'm sick. Again. I seriously just went through this two weeks ago! I think it's just a head cold this time around, but it's still not convenient since we're going on vacation on Thursday. We have been passing around sinus infections, upper respiratory infections, bronchitis, laryngitis, pink eye, and strep throat since January. To top it off, Nolan's allergies are out of control and he's had swollen tonsils for the past two months. His ENT appointment is in two weeks and I'm pushing for allergy testing. I want to know what's bothering him so I can finally help him. Zyrtec and Flonase are not doing the trick. Since I seem to be the expert lately, I thought I'd share what I need on hand in order to survive a cold.

Mucinex D It's an expectorant and nasal decongestant and it means business.
Cēpacol Dual Relief Sore Throat + Cough Spray It tastes disgusting, but it definitely gives some relief. I spray it constantly.
Puffs Plus Lotion Facial Tissues with Vicks That softness! That scent! It's the best.
Vaseline Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy I slather this ALL OVER my mouth and nose to prevent redness and chapping.
Aveeno Skin Relief Hand Cream My skin gets so dry when I'm sick. This is my favorite hand lotion. Simple, cheap, non-greasy, and effective.
Little Noses Sterile Saline Nasal Mist I love the application of this one. The fine mist is better than giant drops so you won't drown yourself.
Smith Bros Daily C This is the best tasting chewable vitamin C I've ever had. I can eat it like candy.
Alpine Spiced Cider I don't drink coffee or tea, so to soothe my throat with something hot, I drink cider. Plus, it makes me feel festive.
Ice cream treats My favorites are Orange Push Ups and if my throat isn't too sore, Drumsticks.

And of course I must have a stack of books and magazines to peruse and a TV show to binge-watch while lying miserably in bed. The last time I was sick I watched all of Veep in a day. I'm obsessed!

How do you get through a cold?

And Puffs, although I don't like to have to use them.

Aww I'm sorry you aren't feeling well again! My allergies are kicking my butt right now so I feel ya. Have you tried the cool touch Kleenex? They are the best after your nose is already red and sore - the cold feeling really helps. Get better soon!

Sending you healthy vibes!

Hope you feel better soon!

I cannot get through a cold without hand sanitizer and a good hand lotion because I compulsively clean my hands. Also a good lip balm because I mouth breathe like a monster.
