Revlon Parfumerie

Scented nail polish is something I haven't had since I was in elementary school. I vaguely remember some kind of peel-off scented polish, probably Barbie or Tinkerbell and it most likely smelled like bubble gum or strawberries. When I found out Revlon came out with a line for adults, I had to try it! It was hard to choose from so many pretty colors, but I get headaches from strong smelling perfume so that limited my choices. St. Patrick's Day was right around the corner, so I grabbed Wintermint. I also wanted some pastels for spring and went with Pink Pineapple and Apricot Nectar.

I guess they are supposed to be shaped like little perfume bottles? I wasn't sure how easy it would be to apply with the round cap, but it was totally fine, maybe even easier than a regular lid. I liked the brush a lot and the formula is great. I used four coats for Wintermint to get the right amount of sparkle, but two coats were perfect for the other two shades. I didn't use a topcoat because I wanted to get the full scent effect and they didn't chip as fast as I assumed they would. The scent was the strongest on the first day, but lasted about three. I kept bringing my fingers up to my nose throughout the day, Mary Katherine Gallagher style. Awkward.

You can't smell it from the bottle or when wet on your nail, so I took a gamble. I was really happy with all three scents though. They are divided into three categories. Fruits & Floral: African Tea Rose, Apricot Nectar, China Flower, Ginger Melon, Lime Basil, Orange Blossom, Pink Pineapple, Wild Violets. Sweets & Spices: Autumn Spice, Balsam Fir, Bordeaux, Chocolate Truffle, Espresso, Italian Leather, Moonlit Woods, Spun Sugar. Fresh: Fresh Linen, Beachy, Lavender Soap, Powder Puff, Sunlit Grass, Surf Spray, Tropical Rain, Wintermint. I want to try Lime Basil, Espresso, and Orange Blossom next.

Do you think this line is childish or would you try it?

I thought about trying it, but I had reservations about it. Wasn't sure how strongly scented they were. I also don't know about buying them just because they're scented, but it's a novelty and I probably will pick one up for fun. That orangle blossom is so pretty! And wintermint.

I wonder if I would get a headache. I'm so picky about smells.

That is a great pale pink though!

I like the colors, but I heard that they do give you a headache. At least 1 of the bloggers that I follow said that.

I've never seen these!! I've tried scented polish before but the only options were pretty basic. Some of the Revlon scents sound amazing! Sunlit Grass and Lime Basil, in particular. I'm going to track some of these down! Thanks for sharing!! And, do you think that Italian Leather would be like New Car Smell? Haha!

I love the winter mint - and the pale pink is lovely and I don't even like pinks!!!

I don't know about the smell but I guess it would be sort of cool. Until I started looking like Mary Catherine ;)

You know, I own one of these Parfumerie polishes (the Balsam Fir one), but I had no idea that a) there were SO many other polishes in this line, or b) that they were divided into those 3 categories! Now I want to go find some of these others... And I'm really impressed by how opaque the pink polish is. I love that one!

I don't think it's childish. But not sure if I would be willing to try it unless the formula is really good. They are pretty colors for sure!

I love the colors! I haven't tried this line from Revlon, because I don't have great luck with the regular Revlon line.

That;s so crazy that they actually smell! I have an issue with over washing and sanitizing my hands so I feel like the scent would last a day max on me lol!

It's cool that the colors are pretty and they smell though!
