I Don't Know About You, But I'm Feelin' 22

So, that title is a little bit of a lie. Sometimes I really do feel 22. Among other things, I enjoy music, movies, and television meant for teenagers. Has anyone else seen the Australian show Dance Academy? I watched the entire series on Netflix and YouTube in like ten days. So good! And remember last year when I saw Selena Gomez in concert? Yeah, I'm a nerd. But I also feel the responsibility that comes with age, especially since I'm running a household and trying to raise two smart, kind, respectful, honest little guys. When I look in the mirror, I definitely don't see 22. Well, sometimes, when I get a big zit. But the wrinkles and strands of gray hair tell another story. I'm 35 today. THIRTY-FIVE. Jacob turned 35 last month and by the end of this month we'll be celebrating our thirteenth dating anniversary. That's over a third of our lives spent together, which is so insane to me.

I basically claimed this weekend for myself. On Friday night Jacob and I went out for burgers and saw comedian Amy Schumer. I LOVE her. The Seahawks also tweeted me a Starbucks gift card. How cool is that? Jacob had to work Saturday, so my kids and I put on our Seahawks tees and watched them beat the Saints from our playroom. I also watched The Purge and Her (reviews coming soon). On Sunday, Jacob made a huge breakfast, I took a nap, then we all went out to dinner at Outback Steakhouse (not so classy, but one of my favorites and kid-friendly) where I had a few margaritas. Afterwards, I got in my pjs and watched the Golden Globes an hour behind everyone else with a few vodka and ojs and late live-tweeted like an annoying drunk person. Today, I probably won't even get out of my pajamas. I'm going to shop online and let Jacob pick up our favorite pizza for dinner. Not too shabby for this old lady!

I have a good life. I'm lucky and happy and try not to take it for granted.
Here's to 35!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! We'll skip over football because it's not polite to fight on someone's birthday and I want to keep our plans for Philly this summer. Bahaha jk!! :)

I'm glad you had a good weekend though and I hope that carries into this week! Enjoy your day!

Can I just say ditto to all of this? Some days and nights I feel 22. Other nights I'm in bed by 9 and feel 45.

Glad to know I'm not the only one getting grey hairs. It sucks!

Happy happy happy birthday!!!

Hey, I late live tweeted #Sherlock #S03E03 #HisLastVow (hastagging outside of Twitter) last night, and I was completely sober. No shame in the Tweet game.
