The Bouqs - My New Favorite Thing

I had the opportunity to receive flowers and review my experience for an awesome online florist called The Bouqs Company. I HATE sending flowers to people, mostly because it's expensive and you never really know what they're going to get. The bouquets never arrive looking the way the picture did online and they just don't seem fresh, probably because they've been sitting in a refrigerator for a few days. Here's why I love The Bouqs and why I won't use any other online flower shop again.
All bouqs are a flat rate, starting at $40, including shipping! It only takes three quick steps to order and they don't bother you with pesky add-ons like candy, balloons, or teddy bears. No one wants any of that stuff anyway. You can even choose to have the flowers delivered without needing a signature.

Flowers are grown on an active volcano in South America, seriously
The Bouqs Company cuts and ships flowers straight from their sustainable farm on an active volcano in South America, so you get fresh cut flowers in 2-4 days, rather than 10-14 at other places. Why are they grown 10,000 above sea level on a volcano near the equator? Because the flowers are fed by pure volcanic snow melt and mineral rich, pH balanced soil. Plus, the sun! More sun means more color. Take a look at some bouqs from the $40-$50 volcano collection.

You can also order $50-$60 bouqs straight from their farm on the California coast for next day delivery.

The Bouqs Company offers subscriptions to simplify your life and save you up to 25%. Regular Blooms - Schedule flowers to be delivered regularly, anywhere from once a year to once a week. Just Because - Surprise your special someone with a random delivery, for no special reason at all. Never Forget - Set up a calendar for email reminders. When it's time to celebrate, you can confirm or change the order.

The Bouqs farms are eco-friendly and sustainable. Because flowers are cut the day you order, they don't waste the typical one out of every three stems traditional florists do. They also save energy with their direct-from-the-farm supply chain. Standard supply chains use up to two weeks of refrigeration. The Bouqs Company only uses four days of cold storage for flowers shipped from South America, and none at all from California. Finally, they provide living wages, childcare, healthcare and adult education. I love it!

I wanted a pretty centerpiece for Thanksgiving, so I ordered the $40 Dawn bouq and set up delivery for Wednesday.

I think the flowers I received were even prettier than the website photos! Even though I selected "no signature required" for delivery, FedEx didn't leave them at my door. So I was without flowers on Thursday. They arrived on Friday and the delivery guy said yes, signature was required. When I contacted The Bouqs they said FedEx was at fault, so I don't really know who to believe. Regardless, I got some really pretty flowers that look fresh and smell amazing.

I'm so happy to say that they the roses are still going strong. It's been nine days and they look perfect! I really am excited about The Bouqs Company, especially with the simple ordering process and flat rate pricing. I can't wait to use them again and again. You can try them too and get $10 off your first purchase!
