Phone In A Glass

I posted the above picture on Instagram on Thanksgiving and thought I'd share it here. If you want to listen to music on your iPhone, but don't have a speaker handy, just place it in a glass to amplify the sound! I first found out about this from Mindy Kaling's Instagram photo posted on November 26.

Since zero of the three speaker docks we have support my iPhone 5, I decided to try this trick on Thanksgiving while I was baking pies and listening to the iTunes Radio First Play of Britney Jean. It worked like a charm! Some people said they already knew about this and do it all the time, but some were just as surprised as I was. So I thought I'd pass it along one more time just in case someone else is as clueless as I am.

That's awesome! I had never heard of it, but it makes sense.

I used to do this in the kitchen all the time. I think I read it on one of those Pinterest iPhone tricks list. When we moved we bought a fancy new receiver so now I just Bluetooth my phone to it.

I bet the bowl gives off even more sound!!!

*** note: You can most likely take some old computer speakers too and plug them into your headphone jack on the iPhone and rock out too. That is what we do in our kitchen. I just plug in the speakers and then plug in my phone to the head phone jack instant tunes :)

It makes total sense, but I had no idea.

MFD had friends over during the summer, and I went outside in the morning and found a bunch of my kitchen bowls (glass, metal, ceramic). They were all tested for sound. HA
