Selena Gomez Concert

Sure, I'd heard of cute little Disney star Selena Gomez, but I didn't give her music much thought until Love You Like A Love Song got stuck in my head the very first time I heard it. My BFF game me copy of her album When The Sun Goes Down and the rest was history. I'm a fan. And being a concert lover, I was excited to see her live last week. The problem was finding someone to go with me. My BFF would have, but he's still living in California. Carrie reluctantly agreed to go, though she constantly told me how much she was dreading it. Unfortunately, she really didn't enjoy it. It could have been because we were surrounded by 8-15 year olds. I've been to a lot of pop concerts, but have never seen so many tweens! I had a great time though.

Emblem3 opened the show. I don't know anything about them except that they were finalists on The X-Factor and they're from Washington State. They were pretty cute and a lot of girls in the audience knew every word to every song. Selena's set was great. She played her older hits and a ton of songs from her latest album Stars Dance, which I love. She sang surprisingly well, her choreography was cute, she seemed very humble and appreciative, and she even whipped out a harmonica during a cover of Dream by Priscilla Ahn. I'm easily impressed. I was a little disappointed in the stage and the video interludes though. It was all just a little sparse and cheesy. Since this is her first big tour, I'm sure it'll get better.

I'm glad you had fun. I like some of her music, but I don't think I would go to her concert, just because of the tween situation.

Looks like a fun concert. She sure has grown up!

I'm a fan and I'm pretty sure I have two kids in the house who would love to go see her in concert.

Glad you had fun!

I like a lot of her songs, but don't know that I'd pay to see her. Of course if you lived here, I'd totally go with you. And wear a SG t-shirt to boot. Ha!

I'd wear AN SG shirt.
