Ready For Some Random?

I don't really know where to start with this post, so I'm just going to get to all the random stuff that's been on my mind lately.

Zoya Team Spirit Trios. I love this! I totally want the Everyday Hustle collection so I can represent my school, the University of Washington Huskies, in purple and gold! They have just about every color combination and I want some even though they have nothing to do with schools I know or like.

Breaking Bad. I finally watched this amazing show! While recovering from surgery I started from episode one and watched nonstop (well, between naps) for six days straight. I made it up to the last four episodes and had to go on vacation. Boo! I was able to watch three episodes on the flights to and from Disneyland and watched the season finale the night we got home. What an intense show. I have so much to say about it, so if you haven't seen it and plan to, STOP READING NOW. I loved Walt so much in the beginning, but man, he became insane. Bryan Cranston is absolutely incredible. He deserves all the awards, ever, in the history of television. I saw him do an interview a few weeks ago and didn't even recognize him. He's so happy and humble and not Walk-like at all. He is an amazing talent! Skyler drove me bonkers. I really didn't like her at all until the last season when she finally came to her senses. I loved Marie and Hank. They were just good, sweet people, living life and doing the right thing. Poor Hank. And poor Mike. Even though he wasn't doing the right things, I really liked him too. I also enjoyed Walter Jr and Gus. Saul was a fun character to watch. But let's just be honest here. It's really all about Jesse Pinkman. I have no words, I just love him. Like have a legit crush on him. In some ways he reminds me of an ex-boyfriend, not in a methy way of course, he was just kind of a punk and looked a little like him. Anyway, Jesse. He can say "Mista White," "Yo," and "Bitch" to me all day long.

Let Me Google That For You. This website is hilarious and awesome. Do you have that annoying friend that constantly asks you stupid questions? I did! Fortunately we aren't friends anymore. She would text me and ask random stuff that a) she should have known and b) I knew the answer to 99% of the time. But still! She could have Googled it on her own in the same amount of time it took her to text me AND not look like a dumb ass. Next time that happens to you go to the website, enter their stupid question, then send them the link. Here's something a Facebook friend seriously asked last month:

Now go here and see what happens. I love it!

Haircut. So that sucked. I was so pumped to do something different. My stylist and I talked about different options for short hair and we settled on a choppy or piecey long bob. This is the picture she pulled up for inspiration and I loved it.

I guess I did basically get that cut, but I also need Katie's face and a stylist to do it for me every day. I feel very middle-aged mom right now. I'll probably be doing a lot of low ponytails for a few months. I also backed out of my color appointment. I haven't colored my hair in over a year. My colorist wasn't available most of the year last year and I had someone else do it for me. I don't know what she did wrong, but it kept fading after four weeks, when it normally lasts nearly ten. I just got sick of paying for it and stopped. My natural hair color is auburn and I've been dealing with the red tint all year, so why start dyeing again now? I do actually want to, it was just bad timing on Friday.

Veronica Mars Movie. I'm dying! I'm so, so excited for this movie. I didn't watch the series when it aired, but caught up about five years ago and was hooked from episode one. If you've never seen it, try to find it (it was on WB's website, but they removed all but the pilot) and binge watch all 64 episodes. You can thank me later.

Jake Gyllenhaal. Just when I think I'm over him, he has a great performance in a movie (Prisoners) and a hot photo spread in a magazine (GQ Australia). I guess I'm still swooning.

The Bear & The Hare. This commercial makes me tear up every time I watch it, which is often because my kids love it. I don't mind it either. Lily Allen is one of my favorites of all time.

Why did I just cry so much watching the Bear and the Hare? It was probably the cutest thing I've ever seen. I'm such a girl.

Oh my gosh, Let Me Google That. I would love to use this every day with the doctors and residents and interns who ask me for phone numbers and other such nonsense. I have taken to saying, "Hold on while I look that up on Google" since they wouldn't get hte impact of the website over the phone. But it's like, "Dude, you went to medical school. SURELY you do not need me, a lowly social worker, to Google a phone number for you."

See... I guess I'm the odd ball I sympathized with Skylar the ENTIRE show... like WTF - dude you're lying to your wife, you're doing illegal things, yes she cheated on you but get over it you're lying to her night and day... ugh... just NO! My favorite is hands down Mike, I love me some Mike. And Jessie of course but I really, really grew to hate Walter. It's sad when the biggest douche on the show (Hank) is the angel/saint for the most part in the end right?

Ugh, I hate when I go in with an expectation for a cut and end up not getting it :( I need a hair cut really bad but I'm totally going for a "trim" to avoid the moment when I freak out because ZOMG IT'S TOO SHORT!!! Needless to say I only get my hair cut every like ... 4-5 months.

I NEED to watch Veronica Mars!!!

I have only seen Breaking Bad once. I can't get out of my mind that the guy- jesse or whatever- was the daughter's boyfriend in Big Love. I can't move past it. :)

Also I cut my hair and just regret it. i can't wait til it grows back out. We're getting there.

Have a great weekend!

I really want to see Prisoners.

I am so glad you loved Breaking Bad. How could you not? And I agree with every single thing you said. I got so so so mad at Walt, but still loved him because of Bryan Cranston. And I will forever have a Jesse/Aaron crush.

Genuis casting, acting, writing, and directing!

Also, the private domicile quote is my favorite. I laughed out loud, rewound and watched it like 4 or 5 times.

Heard good things about Breaking Bad, but never watched. Veronica Mars looks good too, maybe need to get the series. Then need the time to watch them all! Ha! Jake G…I agree :)

I dyed my hair myself since I moved away from my stylist :( She told me what to get from Sally's but the blonde did not cover all the way. I'm going to have to do it again. And as much as I want my hair to keep growing in getting the edge to cut it.

I sympathized with Skylar, though I never really liked her. It was kind of nice to see a wife actually suspect something was up when her husband started acting furtive and doing strange things. Too often the TV wives just accept their husbands' lame excuses for way too long.

So glad you loved the show!

I'm super excited for the Veronica Mars movie too. I was late to the show, too, but watched the whole thing on Netflix. Now it runs every day on the Soap Network and I still watch it when I can. LOVE IT.
