Celebrity Nail Polish

It was announced last week that Gwen Stefani will get an OPI nail polish line. It includes seven limited edition nail lacquers: Hey Baby, I Sing in Color, Love.Angel.Music.Baby., 4 in the Morning, In True Stefani Fashion, Push and Shove and Over & Over A-Gwen. The latter color, Over & Over A-Gwen, was created to match Gwen's signature red lipstick and is available in a boxed set that includes Swarovski crystals and studs to create inspiring nail art. Whoa. As much as I love Gwen and nail polish, don't you think these celeb lines are just too much lately?

They even have lines for movies.

But the absolute worst are the TV show nail polish lines. Modern Family? Really?!

What do you think? Have you ever bought from a nail polish line like this?

I hadn't really considered it, but yes- there are too many of these "special" lines!

I have- and I'm slightly ashamed- a color from the Bieber line. It was so beautiful and I didn't realize it until after I bought it. It's a purple glitter, haha.

I have one of the Hunger Games polishes, but new collections come out all the time so I don't pay much attention to which celebrity name is on them.

O my word! I never realized that there were that many!

I'm very luck since I get free samples from my friend who is a beautician.

I'm tired of the lines that are only a celeb's name on them. The ones that are actually a theme, I can appreciate. Muppets and movie ones can be kind of fun. The OPI Skyfall collection was a huge favorite of mine. But the people ones? Pass.

Is it just me, or do a lot of those colors look pretty much the same anyway? Sigh. At least it's not perfume...

They have celebrity everything these days. It's not special anymore.

I do love Gwen's nails in that first pic.

Modern Family has a nail line? What will they think of next???

I had no idea there were that many - and is it just me or did they just put new labels on the bottom of MOST colors and name them something different for each celeb?

The kicker that usually sells me on an OPI polish, is the name of the polish. I love the clever puns and really wanted a job working in creative years ago, when I was a manicurist.
