Friday, I'm In Love

I'm so excited to link up with Handbags & Handguns today! Life is crazy busy these days (mostly in a good way. Mostly.) and I've been feeling a bit uninspired on the blog front, so Misty's new link-up couldn't have come at a better time. All you have to do is write about whatever you're currently in love with. I can handle this!

Handbags & Handguns

I'm in love with fall. The last day of summer was sunny and 70. The first day of fall was grey, rainy, windy, and 62. We stayed in sweats all day and decorated the house for Halloween. It was the perfect way to bring in the new season. Yesterday we woke up to a crisp 37 degrees and had to turn the heater on. We don't waste any time around here. I love fall for sweaters, apple cider, pumpkin patches, the crispness in the air, scarves, corn mazes, pea coats, Halloween, football games, boots, decorating, rain, fall TV, hockey, etc. I also want to go apple picking for the first time this year.

Oh crap. I think I have CFD.
Just know you'll never see me Instagram a PSL. Gross. And annoying.

I'm in love with blog friends. When I really think about it, I honestly can't believe the connections I've made through this little blog of mine. I shouldn't even call you "blog" friends anymore. I'd rather talk/text/email/tweet you than some of my IRL friends. And I've got so many exciting plans in the works to hang out with some of my blog besties. I get to see Leeann and Kathrin while I'm in Anaheim next month. Then Leeann is coming up to Seattle to spend a weekend with me in November. I'm also planning a trip to Vegas to see Britney Spears with Misty and April. You guys are awesome!

I'm in love with these awkward photos. Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars shared the stage for a few minutes at the VMAs. I've admitted before to having a little crush on Bruno, but I think this just reversed that for me. I can't stop laughing! Taylor is 5'11 and super skinny, and yeah, in high heels, but she's towering over him. I'm 6'0 and not skinny AT ALL. I would look like a monster next to that little fella. I'm officially over him. Don't want no short, short man.

I'm in love with JGL. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is insanely talented, sweet, cute and smart, we all know that. Not only was his interview on Late Night was adorable, but he totally won the Lip Sync-Off. Jimmy Fallon was great, as usual, and Stephen Merchant was surprisingly awesome and awkward and it made me love him more, but JGL had it in the bag! I've watched this eight times.

I'm in love with VOD. There have been so many good independent movies on demand lately that you can rent while they're still playing at the theater. I recently watched The Canyons and Lovelace through Amazon.com. I've also downloaded Blue Caprice and Adore and hope to watch them this weekend. I can send the download straight to my TiVo and watch in the family room in my pjs whenever I get a free moment. As much as I love going to the movies, it's nice not having to plan around my friends or try to get a babysitter. I do miss the popcorn though...

I'm in love with halftime. I'm not a huge football fan. I love to attend at least one game a year and I'll watch a game in the background on TV if Jacob is, but I don't go out of my way to pay attention unless one of my teams (University of Washington and Seahawks) is in a playoff or division game. Or whatever. Are those the right terms? Like I said, I'm not that into football. However, NERD ALERT, I'm really into halftime. I was a band geek from 5th to 12th grade and seriously appreciate a good marching band. Yeah, it's not a sport, but it is hard work learning new songs, formations and choreography almost every single week during football season. I may or may not spend some quality time with YouTube every fall to follow some of my favorite marching bands and drumlines. I could write an entire post about my favorites, but for now I just want to share Ohio University performing The Fox by Ylvis two weeks ago.

Thank you for linking up! :)

I love the awesome friends I've made through blogging.

Bruno Mars looks so tiny next to Taylor. According to Google, he's the exact same height as me. I'll take him.

I mentioned the PSL in my post too. Not a fan!

Love fall. Love Joseph Gordon Levitt. I just watched his interview from Craig Ferguson's show last night. It's great too.

It's bugging me that I didn't hyphenate JGL's name. I do know there's a hyphen. Ha!

Ha ha ha ... short short man. Now that song is stuck in my head.
Fall here in the PacNW is always my favorite time of year ... it is too gorgeous not to obsess over! I have been loving my boots and the crisp air. Such a nice change!

I LOVE when marching bands go current. My favorite has to be when Ohio University did LMFAO "Party Rock Anthem." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZtCZOiZ-cg

I had NO idea that Bruno was THAT short! SO funny.

I love fall too - I WISH mine here in AL was like yours as described, makes me miss the North East and living in MD!

I'm so jealous That Leeann is going to visit you! I want to visit Seattle and meet you! You guys are going to have so much fun! I'll get there one of these days. I only need more time to travel and less time to work. Haha

Oh and I don't like PSL either. I am so tired of bloggers talking about those dumb things. I've been apple picking twice this season already. You must go!!

Ha ha haa - love that CFD clip!

You are so lucky to get to hang out with some of your blog friends! I would love to, unfortunately, you all live on the other side if the world! Move to Europe!

I never realized that Bruno was that short! Shame!

This is so weird. I saw someone on YouTube mentioning Bruno Mars and how short he is. So I went on looking and found your picture of him and Taylor Swift. Today is the 27th of September 2014. The odds of finding your post exactly one year later are just mind-bottling to me. Also very happy to have read your post since I read some more and found the very funny lip syncing video. Thank you for posting this, and yes I also love autumn!
