Fall TV

On Saturday night, Jacob was at a local MMA fight, so I spent my evening curled up with a hot date: Entertainment Weekly's Fall TV issue. I brought out a notebook, ruler, and highlighters and created my TV Matrix. Ok, not really since I just had my TiVo app opened up next to me. But sixteen years ago, back when I shared a room with my sister, her friend saw a copy of our homemade color-coded TV schedule pinned to her bulletin board and that's the name he gave it. Hey! It was the olden days! We had to either watch it live or record it on VHS and hope the tape didn't run out by the end of the week. My sister and I have recently been texting back and forth about the shows we're going watch and we still say, "Add it to the Matrix."

Anyway, I gotta say, I'm not particularly excited about any one show this season, but I do love a lot of the actors that will be gracing the small screen. Especially the funny ladies. Rebel Wilson, Anna Faris, Allison Janney, Malin Akerman (girl crush!)? Count me in! I typically give a new show 4-5 episodes before I decide to keep or delete it. In addition to aaaaall the other shows I currently watch, here's what I'll be checking out:

What new shows will you be watching?

I'm trying Brooklyn Nine Nine, Dracula, The Originals, and The Blacklist. I may try a few sitcoms...I want the Rebel Wilson one to be good.

I only added a few new shows to my list this year... The Crazy Ones, The Michael J. Fox Show and The Blacklist. If I'm missing out on something great, I'll count on you to let me know. :)

Let me know how Dads is. I may give it a try because I really like Giovanni.

The one show I'm super excited for is Agents of SHIELD. I'm a big time fan of the Marvelverse.

Why or why is there so often so many great sounding shows that we want to watch and oh so often not enough hours in the day to watch everything

I have even more on my list ... I think I might just have a problem.

I feel the same way - the shows themselves don't necessarily sound super great, but OMG the casts!

I love the TV Matrix!

There isn't really anything NEW that I'm all about watching this season. Other than Shield or S.H.I.E.L.D. that I am anxious to see. I'm just looking forward to current shows I'm watching. I've heard nothing really good or positive about Seth Green's new show so that makes me sad... And I really, really hate that Sarah Michelle Gellar's show probably won't do well... or maybe it will but I know I won't like it (even though I like Robin Williams) I'll be honest if it's not on NBC or sometimes Fox I usually don't like it. I'm anxious for NBC comedy night (what's left of it... sigh). But otherwise it's all about The League and Always Sunny for me, most other comedy I hate on TV.
