Lifetime Movies

Are you guys ready for Lifetime Original Movie Baby Sellers starring Kirstie Alley airing this weekend?

I'm a big sucker for made-for-TV movies. Most of you won't remember, but back in the late '90s when Monday nights were not strictly for football, there was always Melrose Place and a Lifetime-esque movie during prime time. The cast members of Beverly Hills, 90210 did and continue to play a HUGE part in those movies. Tiffani Amber Theissen has been in 10, Gabrielle Carteris has been in 11, Jennie Garth has been in 16, Tori Spelling has been 17, and the queen, Shannen Doherty, has been in 26! Now for the guys. Ian Ziering has been in 6 (Sharknado was his most recent), Brian Austin Green has been in 11, Luke Perry has been in 17, and Jason Priestly, so, so close to his TV twin, is up to 24 TV movies. Is this not insane to anyone else?

Personally, I enjoy the movies ripped from the headlines the most.

Natalee Holloway, Jodi Arias, Amanda Knox, Casey Anthony

And there are always some great (great? really?) biopics.

Liz & Dick, Coco Chanel, Ring Of Fire, and Anna Nicole

Now are you ready for my favorites?

I love She's Too Young, where all the 14 year olds contract syphilis and Marcia Gay Harden starts a campaign to alert and educate the parents of all the slutty behavior. Then there's No One Would Tell, starring Candice Cameron as a high school student who gets beat and eventually killed by her varsity boyfriend played by Fred Savage. In Friends 'Til The End, Shannen Doherty's childhood nemesis becomes her college stalker and Single White Females her ass. And of course, Fab Five, about the unruly behavior of high school cheerleaders that forced out five coaches in three years and was ignored by administration, until Jenna Dewan came and tried to discipline them. Love.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who watches this crap!
What's your favorite made-for-TV movie?

I love the one where all the 14 year olds attract syphilis!. I also love Odd Girl Out when Alexa Vega gets bullied, chops off her hair and then stands up to her bitchy friend.

I used to watch them all the time. I've seen quite a few of Tori Spelling's early ones. I've also seen a ton with one of the girls from The Facts of Life. Um... Nancy McKeon!

I really need to watch Sharknado this week.

Kevin Arnold beating on DJ Tanner is in my top five.

Mother, May I Sleep With Danger is my #1. Tori!

I had to come back to this. One of my faves was Willing to Kill: The Texas Cheerleader Story.

I didn't remember that Fred Savage killed Candice Cameron in that one. It's been way too long!

And I agree with the above. Mother, May I Sleep with Danger=CLASSIC.

LOL I didn't realize they'd be in SO many! I used to love staying in bed all day on Sunday (after a long Saturday of drinking) and watching the Lifetime movie marathons. Do they even have those anymore?

Last one I watched was Jodi Arias.

Lifetime movies are a guilty pleasure-- on boring weekends my mom and I would watch marathons! I always liked 15 (or 16??) and Pregnant, Mother, May I Sleep with Danger and another Tori favorite-- Co-Ed Call Girl.

I knew 90210 stars were in a bunch of Lifetime movies, but never knew how many-- cool fact!
