Cheers & Jeers

Way more cheers than jeers this time around. I love it when that happens!

Cheers to Mad Men Meets Daft Punk! I shared this on Twitter and Facebook two months ago, and have watched it at least twenty times since then, but still can't get over it. Shout out to my favorite, Ken Cosgrove, for the best scene of the season. Also, this is my kids' favorite song right now. They like it when "robots" sing.

Cheers to Candidly NicoleI forgot all about Nicole Richie's web series until last week and watched eight 5-minute episodes in a row. I've loved her since The Simple Life and I know I'm in the minority, but I miss her and Paris together. You could always see Nicole's fun personality and sense of humor in random TV interviews, but these short videos really show how great she is off the cuff. Are you watching? If not, I recommend it right away! It's hard to choose, but my favorites so far are Tramp StampHomie Hopper, and How Not To Pick Up A Guy. Also, I want her messy bob asap.

Cheers to Veronica Mars! First, the movie is in production right this minute with most of the cast returning (Leighton Meester couldn't do it because of scheduling. Sad). Second, there are going to be books! Creator Rob Thomas is publishing two books about Veronica's adult life, which will pick up where the 2014 movie ends. All I know is there better be a whole lot of LoVe. That's Logan + Veronica, for you non-marshmallows. And really, what's wrong with you? Get into one of the best TV shows ever.

Cheers to Essie Mini Sets! I haven't seen them in the store, but they're sold on Nordstrom.com for $17, and I can typically find them at Amazon for less than that. I never use up an entire bottle of nail polish and I ALWAYS want a ton of Essie colors (one shade per collection is my limit), so this is perfect. For the price of two full size bottles, you get four. Can't beat it!

Cheers to Saved by the Bell "Ooooh" Supercut! Remember when sitcoms were filmed before a live studio audience? The teens watching SBTB could ooh, aah, woop and gasp with the best of them. I can recall exactly where a sequel or scream will fall during a scene in some episodes. This supercut gets kind of annoying, but it's so funny.

Cheers to Comedians in Cars Getting CoffeeI guess I love a good web series and Jerry Seinfeld's is no exception. There's more information about cars than I ever cared to know, but I really like the candid conversation between two comedians. My favorite ones are Ricky Gervais (because he's just a genius with the best laugh ever) and Alec Baldwin.

Cheers to Princess Nicolas Cage! See hereI don't get it and I don't know why I like it, but I do. Someone put cartoon Nic Cage faces on Disney Princess bodies. It's weird. Here are some of the best ones:

Cheers to Ben Affleck! Really, there are a million reasons to cheer on one of my favorite Hollywood men, but the latest awesome news is that he's just been cast to play Nick Dunne in David Fincher's movie adaptation of Gone Girl. You know, that book about the terrible couple who does horrible, unspeakable things. Yeah, I loved it too and can't wait to see it. The part of Amy hasn't been filled yet but Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman and Emily Blunt are some names being thrown around. I vote for my favorite lady Charlize! Reece Witherspoon is producing.

Jeers to the end of Happy Endings. It's officially over and I'm still bitter. It was my favorite comedy on TV for the past three years and was being shopped around to TBS and Netflix, but nothing is going to work out for these crazy kids. I just found out about Eliza Coupe's Funny or Die web series called Frenemies. I have to go check that out right now.

Jeers to the death of Dumb Jock. Paul Feig (the hilarious talent behind Freaks and Geeks, Bridesmaids, and The Heat) was working on a comedic movie for his pals Jon Hamm and Melissa McCarthy about an unlikely romance. Turns out the two stars weren't really into it. I'm bummed because he said it was his favorite thing he's ever worked on. Boo. I love funny Jon and Melissa is amazing at everything she does. On a positive note, The Heat: 2 got the green light!

Jeers to George Clooney and Stacey Keibler. I mean, I guess it was time. They'd been together for two years and she was starting to ask about marriage and kids, so George had to throw her out. But I liked them together! They always looked so pretty on the red carpet. Yeah, I'm shallow. But really, the women that get into a relationship with him HAVE to know it's not going to last and they won't be the one to change his ways. Idiots.

Jeers to Lindsay Lohan. Enough of the teasers for her new movie The Canyons, the official trailer is here! It doesn't really look any different than the teasers though. I really want the best for her. I've been a fan since day one and she is very pretty, funny and talented, but she's choosing all the wrong projects. You know I'm going to see this though, right? Who's with me?

I know that Paris and Nicole are at different places in their lives, but still... they were great together! I'm not a huge fan of either, but I might check out this vids.

I still have to finish Veronica Mars, but love what I've seen so far. I think I've watched most of the first season. I'm excited for the movie and books.

Essie mini sets are right up my alley!

I love Ricky Gervais. I don't much care for Seinfeld though. And I am SUPER PUMPED that Ben is going to play Nick!

I never watched Happy Endings. I'll have to add it to my list to bing watch. I had no idea about The Heat 2. Awesome!

Stacy and George did look great together, but she had to know she wasn't going to change him. He was certainly good for her career though.

I love Nicole Richie

I am going to watch the Daft Punk meets Mad Men as soon as everyone leaves for lunch so I will report back!

I really need to watch Veronica Mars I hate that it's not on Netflix!!! I might have to get to it in a different way.

Ben Affleck could be on TV reading the phone book and I'd listen to every. single. word. I love that dude. And his salt n' pepper hair, I LOVE it!

Jon Hamm and Melissa McCarthy, not interested, what is WRONG with them. It's like say.. NO Sorry I don't want to have fun, enjoy my co-workers or have anymore money... I'm good. CRAZY! I need to see Heat.

I always felt like Stacey seems mismatched with George. He needs to find an older woman, the already has kids that won't pester him about marriage. Then again that wouldn't be any fun would it, I think it's the thrill for him to have younger women, who want marriage.

I adore Ben. I'm so glad he's going to play the lead in Gone Girl.

Mad Men Daft Punk was awesome.

I'm literally the only person in the world who hates Daft Punk and wasn't thrilled with Gone Girl. I can see why people liked both but for me they're both boring. HOWEVER, since I love me some Mr. Affleck of course I'll see the movie. Can I still come visit? ;)

And I am a HUGE Nicole fan. I own The Simple Life DVDs. I know the lines from the episodes. Remember the song they sang at the baseball game? Salsa, salsa...I sing that all the time lol. AND Kathrin almost convinced me to use Nicole's line from season 1 (my FAV line ever!) as my secret password to get into my bday party: you smell like onions!

Hahaha!

I will be PISSED if Natalie Portman gets cast as Amy. I cannot with her. CAN NOT.

I've been told 9 times that I need to watching Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. I will, I will I SWEAR.

AWESOME news about Gone Girl! I actually think Ben Affleck is 100% perfect for the role. Not sure either of the girls would be a good Amy though. Definitely not Emily Blunt. They need to be super strong females but equally light & dark. Charlize & Natalie are most 'light' to me, though I guess they did Snow White & Black Swan, respectively. I just don't picture either of them. Ah, this is going to drive me nuts all day! :)
