Spring/Summer Nails

When I found out that this was Tara's last week hosting The Nail Files, I had to link up! I wish I was showing off some awesome summertime nail art, but I'm lame. I made one attempt and it wasn't pretty. Here are the shades I've been wearing so far this sunny season.

Julep - Blake
I cannot make yellow work. I'm just too pink. Good thing I only paid $1 for this.

I like this bright magenta a lot. I need to try it with a white base to make it pop.

At the Julep Parlor in May, I chose a Lena mani and Jackie pedi.
I love both of these colors, but especially Jackie. I bought it!

Here's what Jackie looks like on my hands.

I want to try white under this dark violet color too.

My favorite thing right now is to buy Essie minis. This neon coral is such a fun color.

At the Julep parlor in June, I chose a Payton mani and Raegan pedi.
I love them both. I loved the entire June collection, but I was broke!

And then for once, I tried to get fancy. I used a Love & Beauty light blue to try and create a thin stripe on Payton. When that failed, I just painted the whole tip. That failed too. Ugh. I can hardly paint my nails one color, why did I even attempt this? I just don't have the patience. It was a full-on Monet. From far away it was ok, but up close it was a big old mess. I didn't even take a picture of my right hand. It looked like Nolan painted it.

I can't ever make yellow work either. I really need to buy a white polish and try it underneath a few colors.

I love all different types fo colors, yet when I get my nails done I always go for the same colors: reds and bright fuscias lol.

I like that color you bought. So pretty!

I can't function because I love too many of your pics! Haha! Eden is totally my most recent fav from Julep, although I've ordered Paris so Eden may be bumped from the top of the list. ;) I'm sorry your tips didn't work out; it's always so frustrating when you spend time doing it and then it just gets all messed up. Boo.

oh no! I didn't realize it was her link up :( I didn't really have any fun nails to show off this week.

Great Julep choices!

How fun! I wish I could paint my nails...and when I do, I don't take pictures of them at all! In fact, I wash my hands or take a shower, anything to get the paint off my skin!

At least your mani wasn't hagsville!

These are fun. I really should spend more time on my nails instead of just letting them be ugly and boring.
