Empire Records Soundtrack

Soundtracks are awesome, especially the ones from the '90s. I listened to this one quite a bit.
Here are my favorite tunes:

Edwin Collins - A Girl Like You
This song reminds me so much of one of my best friends in 11th grade.
He and I would sing this song and reenact SNL sketches from the weekend before. Dorks.

Gin Blossoms - Til I Hear It From You
I was never really a fan of this band until this song. It's such a great pop song!

Coyote Shivers - Sugar High
I love this song from the climax of the movie. It's totally different on the soundtrack though.
Renee Zellweger just gives it a little something extra.

Rex Manning - Say No More, Mon Amour
And we can't forget Rex Manning's hit!
"You call me on my car phone with that je ne se quois, you say you need a little of my ooh la la"
Best lyrics ever.

There are more awesome '90s songs from the movie. Some of them didn't make the album though.

I've always been annoyed that the Renee version was not on the soundtrack. It's so much better.

That soundtrack is one of my favorites...so many good songs! :) It always makes me think of high school (the good parts) and traveling :).

Sugar high was my faaaaaavorite song. True story, I heard "girl like you" on the radio the other day and wondered if it would be weird if I played that at my wedding. I decided it would be and that Justin should make choices about songs regarding females....ps - totes not planning a wedding, you didn't miss anything, I promise.
