I'll Take It!

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos recently put their Manhattan penthouse up for sale. They bought it in 2005 for $9.5 million and renovated it for two years before moving in. The 6,792 square foot SoHo "apartment" spans two floors and has five bedrooms, five baths, two offices, a media room, and a 2500 square foot rooftop terrace with an outdoor kitchen and hot tub. They listed it last month for $24.5 million. Insane!

It's not very cozy and kinda looks like a movie set, but this is right up my alley. I love white and clean lines and for everything to look sterile. Boring, I know. And that terrace is pretty insane. I would take it and not make any changes! But don't you think $24.5 million is a little steep? I don't know anything about real estate. I get that it's a huge space, especially for Manhattan, but it just seems like lot of money. I wonder if they'll get their asking price.

Ok first of all 2 years to renovate? That is a crazy long time. And 2nd of all why are they leaving? That place is so nice. They are insane to move!

Jesus Christmas, $24.5 million is ridiculous. I like the bones of it, a little too mod for me, I'd homey it up.

That is a butt load of money! Of course if I had it (which I never will) I'd definitely take it. I love the modern decor and the outdoor space.

I think it's gorgeous, but I wouldn't spend more than $20 million. Let's see if they counteroffer.

God, I'd hate to be rich and live in an amazing "apartment".

I'm not loving the inside, but I love the outside space.

I guess I could live there if I had to...

I don't know anything about real estate and reasonable prices either. But that does sound steep.

I have to admit . . . this kinda thing makes me want to barf. It's hard for me to reconcile that there are people THIS FILTHY RICH living in the same world as people so poor they can't afford a meal. UGH.

But the terrace is quite gorgeous. ;)

Are they selling it fully furnished? It is very pretty but they will never get that much money for it.
