Vacation Recap: Park City

After exploring the Winter Olympic sites, we checked into our hotel and napped. This is when I started feeling sick. I was achy, tired, and nauseous and couldn't get warm. We knew we had to eat though, so we wandered around Main Street, stopped in Main Street Pizza & Noodle and watched the Seahawks win while sharing a pizza. Since I was having such a hard time breathing, we decided to stop sightseeing and call it a day. We grabbed some goodies from a chocolate shop, went back to the hotel, watched TV, and fell asleep by 10:00.

Jacob went snowboarding the next day. I slept in, ordered room service, and didn't get out of bed until noon. It was glorious!

Jacob got back to the hotel around 3:00 and we went to Bandits Grill & Bar for a steak dinner. My favorite part of the meal was the fried pickles appetizer we ordered! We walked up and down Main Street, then hit up the nearby outlet mall. I started feeling sick again so we went back to the hotel and watched movies in bed.

The next morning we had a really, really good breakfast at The Eating Establishment and left for the airport to catch our flight.

Great Salt Lake from the plane

It wasn't a super exciting vacation, but we had a lot of fun and I think the area is just beautiful! I love going away with Jacob no matter where we go. This was our first winter destination vacation and it won't be our last. I don't want to participate in snow sports, but I do like a comfy hotel room with room service! Another part I love about travel? Eating fast food that we don't have here in Seattle!

I love Fried pickles!

And you don't have a Chick Fila in Seattle?

Chick-fil-A is so good to me and I can have it any time. I can't imagine how good it would be if I could only have it on vacay.

It looks so gorgeous there. Glad you two had a great time!

Looks lik this question is a trend...you don't have Chickfila? I love that place. Sleeping in until noon?! Oh how I wish. I can't remember the last times I've slept past 7:30.

Stupid northwest with no chickfila!
It sounds like even though you felt yucky you had a good time. You just need time alone with your husband once in a while!

Utah looks so pretty! As do the fried pickles. I'm glad you powered through and got to do some things :)

Fried pickles rule the school.

I'm dying to try Pinkberry. I don't think we have any here. I have to google it.

Gorgeous photos of the town in twilight/night.

I want an initial sweater. Very badly.

I am still so jealous of your Chick Fil-A adventure. And you look amazing in these photos! You would never ben able to tell that you weren't feeling 100%. Glad you and the hubs had fun! I feel like winter vacations are all about relaxing, and sometimes, you just need that!

It's too bad you had to miss out on Sundance.

The gifting suite is not quite at the bottom of Main Street. There is a ski lift area with some lounges. That's where they have it.

I am obsessed with the scenery! I don't think even a Rosanne-a-thon or feeling sick would've kept me inside. I'm probably lying but still! haha Wow. It's just gorgeous and I'm so glad y'all got to get away! You look so pretty as usual!! And every time I see Jacob, I see Nolan. Serious look alikes!
