Harbin

The Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival is underway in China right now. The monthly festival has been held every January since 1963. It’s located in the northeastern part of the country, under direct influence of the cold winter wind from Siberia. The ice is sculpted using modern technology (like lasers) and by traditional means (ice lanterns). Check out the exhibit this year:

Isn't it breathtaking? This is definitely going on my bucket list! I have to see this in person!

How cool. They have a smaller scale ice "village" in Long Beach for Christmas...it's pretty nice
