Tour Of Gymnastics Champions

My friend and I saw the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions on Sunday. I was obsessed with gymnastics at the Olympics and it was so much fun to see it all live. Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Jordyn Wieber and Kyla Ross were there from the 2012 women’s team. McKayla Maroney got hurt a few weeks ago and won’t be on the tour anymore. Bummer. My boyfriend, Jake Dalton, was there along with Jonathan Horton and John Orozco from the men’s team. There were a ton of gymnasts from previous Olympic teams too. The show was Cirque du Soliel meets dance party meets gymnastics. It was definitely entertaining with pop music, costume changes, and cool lighting. The gymnasts genuinely looked like they were having fun. I just wish there was a jumbo screen though. We sat pretty high up in the arena and because they didn't introduce anyone, we couldn't really tell who was performing.

There was some dancing and tumbling.

There was a ton of crazy aerial action, all without harnesses.

Gabby and Aly performed their floor routines.

While I love the Fierce Five, the men are just so frickin' impressive. Check out how high they are on those rings!
There was some SYTYCD action going on in the middle.

♥ Jake Dalton ♥

Shirtless dancing male gymnasts? Yes please.

Parallel bars.

The finale.

I had so much fun! If the tour comes to your town and you loved Team USA, I totally recommend it. Just don't be embarrassed if you go without little girls. Sometimes (very rarely) I think I need a daughter. Nah, just a niece.

You got some awesome shots of the performances! As a former gymnast and coach gymnastics has always been a huge part of my life. It would figure that the tour is not stopping in my nearest city this year. I went in 2000 though and it was really neat. Glad you had a fun time :)

Cool! I was thinking of bringing my daughters to this when it comes to Minnesota. I think I'm going to look into it now:)

How cool! I drove by their bus when a few weeks ago, but I didn't realize it was *their* bus. My friend and I actually laughed about it, like omg its the olympians! And then it really was...
