Summer Shows and a Movie Challenge

Now that we’ve watched all the season finales and we know what’s coming this fall, it’s time for the fun, light summer shows to start. Here’s what I’ll be watching:

Pretty Little Liars - June 5
I love that this show premieres twice a year. I feel like I always get my fix!
I didn’t like the season two finale at all so it'll be interesting to see where they take us next.

Franklin & Bash - June 5
This was such a fun little summer show last year.
I mostly watch it because of my major and very long lasting crush on Zack Morris Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

Comedy Bang! Bang! - June 8
This podcast is now a TV show! With guests like Amy Poehler, Adam Scott, Zach Galifianakis,
Elizabeth Banks, Michael Cera and Jon Hamm, it should be hilarious.

The Newsroom - June 24
I gotta throw a good, smart show in the mix. I cannot wait for this Aaron Sorkin drama!
Especially because the cast is insane: Jane Fonda, Jeff Daniels, Sam Waterston, Emily Mortimer and Dev Patel.

Brand X with Russell Brand - June 28
My favorite Brit will be gracing my TV for six half-hour comedy specials on FX.
Love him.

Weeds - July 1
Last season was much better than the previous two, but this show is still so outrageous.
I can't stop watching it though.

The Olympics - July 27
I'll be pretty preoccupied and may have some late nights.
I can't wait for swimming, diving, gymnastics and track.

I also plan to catch up on The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl and Community.
I’m going to finally start Once Upon a Time and Revenge too.
What will you be watching this summer?

I'm going to do an A to Z movie challenge too. The only rule is that it has to be something I’ve never seen before. Hopefully I’ll see a few new movies in the theater, but I’ll also tap into some new releases and classics from my Netflix queue.

I want to get into Revenge, it looks pretty good. I love Gossip Girl and own seasons 1-4. I'm realizing its hard for me to get into a show when I have to wait a week between episodes so I usually just wait until I can by a whole season LOL I just can't wait to find out what happens next. Love your movie challenge idea!

Have you watched The Lying Game? I got into it bc of PLL and it's so good! Not sure when it's coming back though :(

Super excited for PLL tomorrow. Nautical Kate and I are doing a viewing party!

I hope you love Once Upon a Time as much as I do. I'll be watching PLL, Rizzoli & Isles, True Blood, Brand X, Anger Management, Dallas, Tosh.0, and Big Brother. I will probably end up staying up way too late most nights watching The Olympics. I love the events you mentioned. I also plan to catch up on Weeds, Justified and Friday Night Lights. It sounds like a lot, but it's still way less than during fall tv season. Still leaves plenty of time for Investigative Discovery marathons.

I need to check out Revenge, and get caught up on New Girl as the Glee spring hiatus threw me off and I got out of the habit of watching them back to back.

I'm hoping to catch some Franklin and Bash (I caught various episodes of the 1st season) and maybe keep up with Rizzoli and Isles (I always watch an episode here or there but somehow never make it an entire season - oops!).

I'm excited to check out the new Dallas next week though!

True Blood premieres next week, we'll watch, but I'm not all that crazy about it to be honest as it's deviated soooo far from the books it seems... Newsroom looks like it could be good though!

Once was sooo good! I hope you like it! I can't wait for the next season to start!
