Wedding movies

Wedding season is in full swing. I’m sure you all have a few marked in your summer calendar. I thought I’d share my favorite wedding movies. I don’t like typical romantic comedies. In fact, I think most of them are lame and annoying. But they sure made some good ones in the 90s. I think my all-time favorite is Muriel’s Wedding. If you haven’t seen this, you must. Now. (It's streaming on Netflix). It’s depressing and hilarious at the same time. Toni Collette is absolutely amazing!

I also really love The Wedding Planner. It’s my favorite J.Lo movie!
My sister and I still quote lines from it.

Another good one is My Best Friend’s Wedding. In general, Julia Roberts really bugs me,
but not too much in this movie. Dermot Mulroney is dreamy and Cameron Diaz is perfection!

The Wedding Singer is always a blast. And who doesn’t love this soundtrack?

The Proposal is my favorite modern day wedding movie.
It’s not as cheesy as most wedding/romantic comedies.

And then there's Bridesmaids. I laughed so hard I cried during that movie.

What’s your favorite wedding movie?

Good list -- love The Proposal & The Wedding Planner. I'll watch The Wedding Planner every time it's on TV. I'd have to include Wedding Crashers in there, too!

My Big Fat Greek Wedding! And, a bit more "modern," The Hangover and Bridesmaids. Bridesmaids totally made me feel like the issues I was having with my bridal party were just downright silly.

Never seen Muriel's Wedding but I'll add it to my list! Love all of the other movies. I used to have a crush on Dermot Mulroney (I'm sure I spelled that wrong lol) so My Best Friend's Wedding is one of my favs :)

Never seen your number 1's. But I have seen the others, and love them all! I can't forget "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"! That might be my all time favorite. I am half Greek though!

I've never seen Muriel's Wedding. I'll have to remedy that since I have Netflix. The Wedding Singer is a classic. I have The Proposal recorded. I need to watch it soon.
